Committed to Sustainability through Partnership
McCormick Place is committed to initiatives designed to conserve energy, protect vital resources and promote ecologically-efficient policies and procedures.
To achieve this goal:
- McCormick Place works with service partners, customers and vendors to encourage sustainable efforts through education, defined expectations and example.
- McCormick Place develops and incorporates into its operation procedures environmentally-friendly products, processes and practices that are cost-effective and consistent with the core services we provide.
We are proud that the McCormick Place West Building attained LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) from the U.S. Green Build Council, the organization that sets the standards for what is officially considered environmentally-friendly or "green". The West Building is the largest new-construction facility in the country to be certified.
McCormick Place has also undertaken many other green initiatives designed to help the environment. We are committed to doing our part to help protect our environment, while also serving the needs of our customers and guests.
Our sustainability program will continue to change and evolve as we make further progress with greening initiatives. We welcome your feedback on how we can partner with you to meet your goals for making your event or experience sustainable and enjoyable.
