Sustainability Topics Energy Conservation Resource Conservation Environmental Initiatives Alternative Transportation L.E.E.D. Certification Additional Initiatives Exhibit Floor Program Energy Conservation To make the buildings more energy efficient, the following greening initiatives have been implemented: Compact fluorescent bulbs are now used throughout the facility in place of incandescent lamps Variable frequency drives on HVAC motors are utilized throughout the Campus. As part of standard operating practices, McCormick Place has taken the initiative to: Turn off lights and non-essential escalators in areas which are not in use. Provide minimal HVAC in buildings and spaces during move-in, move-out and non-event days. At a customer's request, McCormick Place will: Adjust heating and cooling set points to more efficient levels and times.
